Thanksgiving activities.

Sorpresa! Día de acción de gracias es en menos de una semana. El año nos pasó rápido a todos y empezamos a pensar qué actividades hacer para nuestros host kids. Algo sencillo, que los entretenga, que nos de el tiempo de encontrar los materiales, que les guste a nuestros host parents también.

Tenemos la solución! Te mostramos algunas manualidades para que puedas realizarlas esta semana y las horas de trabajo se pasen más rápido + ver las sonrisa de nuestros host kids es algo que siempre nos llevamos de recuerdo.

Surprise! Thanksgiving is in less than a week. The year went by fast for all of us and we started thinking about what activities to do for our host kids. Something simple, something that will entertain them, something that will give us time to find the materials, something that our host parents will like too.

We have the solution! We show you some crafts that you can make this week and the hours of work go by faster + seeing the smiles of our host kids is something we always take as a souvenir.

Thanksgiving Turkey 1

Materiales:

-Rollo de papel de baño (si tenés de cocina, los cortás y haces más pavos!)

-Papeles de color rojo, amarillo y naranja.

-Pintura marrón

-Ojos wiggle (pueden encontrar los que son stickers)

-Bolígrafo negro.

La idea es que nuestros host kids escriban en cada pluma las cosas por las que están agradecidos. Es una actividad fácil, llevadera y una buena manera de dejar en escrito lo agradecido que están los niños este año.

Materials:

-Roll of toilet paper (if you have kitchen towels, cut them and make more turkeys!).

-Red, yellow and orange papers.

-Brown paint

-Wiggle eyes (you can find the ones that are stickers).

-Black pen.

The idea is that our host kids write on each feather the things they are thankful for. It is an easy, bearable activity and a great way to write down how thankful the kids are this year.

The hanging Turkey

Materiales:

-Latas (pueden ser las de choclo, arvejas... empezá a guardar todas las que puedas)

-Cintas en tonos amarillo, rojo y naranja.

-Pegamento

-Para las plumas podes conseguir plumas reales o como en la actividad anterior, realizarlas con papel de color naranja, amarillo y rojo.

-Ojos wiggle.

Con esta actividad los pavos pueden ser colgados en cualquier parte de la casa! Es económica y va a mantener a todos en un buen rato!

Materials:

-Cans (they can be corn, peas... start saving as many as you can).

-Yellow, red and orange ribbons.

-Glue

-For the feathers you can get real feathers or as in the previous activity, make them with orange, yellow and red colored paper.

-Wiggle eyes.

With this activity the turkeys can be hung anywhere in the house! It is inexpensive and will keep everyone in a good time!

The Leaf turkey!

Materiales:

-Ojas de árboles.

-Lápices o marcadores naranja, amarillo, rojo y marrón.

-Tijera

-Pegamento

Es muy conveniente y perfecto para sacar a los host kids afuera a jugar y recolectar ojas otoñales! Les va a encantar esta actividad, pueden jugar con los tamaños y colores de las ojas.

Materials:

-Tree leaves.

-Orange, yellow, red and brown pencils or markers.

-Scissors

-Glue

It's so convenient and perfect for getting the host kids outside to play and collect fall leaves! They will love this activity, they can play with the sizes and colors of the leaves.
